They may not have experienced adrenaline lows (where tissue is no longer sensitive to adrenaline) yet, but they will. All fatty acids are deficient in oxygen (two oxygen atoms per molecule) so using them for energy automatically creates more lactic acid than CO2. CO2 is produced in greater amounts by the use of sugar (typically six or more oxygen atoms per molecule depending on the saccharide size) for energy. In addition, carnitine may negatively affect the transport of T3 and T4 into cells – which makes sense as fatty acid metabolism and free fatty acids inhibits glucose metabolism by reducing insulin sensitivity, L-carnitine has been found to act as a peripheral antagonist of thyroid hormone action. About the cytoxicity of Resveratrol and Curcumin I do think these substances are only cytotoxic, when needed (cancer, bacteria).   18. Yes, I think so too. It would seen that taking large amounts of isolated potassium can create an imbalance. It certainly does this with other substances. Speaking of deodorizing the body.... I haven't used anything other than nutrition for several years since most deodorants found in stores are toxic (especially aluminium). Many of the natural versions I would try were not quite potent enough (or at least long lasting) and girlfriends can usually tell me how effective they are/were.   20. I have ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS, the theory is that it is caused by KLEBSIELLA bacteria and possibly other gram-negative bacterias. I take anti-inflammatories such as curcumin which help, but I'm trying to address the root cause. I eat kefir and sauerkraut.   21. Yeah I read a post on the other forum where you mention the odour side affect. Infact I noticed that I felt a bit stale myself when dosing up to 10 grams a day, and i suspected ketosis. a health coach said that potassium raises insulin so ketosis would be an indicator or insulin resistance... ...But without over thinking it too much, getting the 5g potassium from veg instead of supplements can only be healthy and likely body deoderising i think.
  22. I have noticed a lot of people after the age of 50 get colon and bladder cancer. Here in our country this group is included in a prevention program for check-ups, if they have blood in their fecal samples. I wonder why the doctors don't test for hormones and vitamin D status - it is evident that they play significant role, with these tests we could prevent most of colon and bladder cancers. Instead we have a program for 50-74 old men that includes rectal and colon examination...not particularly pleasant.

In the early 90's I was made aware of a similar problem, but it was put in a different context, that generally most people fell well below the current dietary guidelines. About 10 years ago I did a number of experiments in attempt to find out what would happen if I increased potassium intake. Here is what happened (note: the sources I used maybe was far from ideal). I tried topical potassium citrate (on my scalp) and at another time, high dose apple cider vinegar capsules. The effect of topical potassium citrate had an immediate cooling sensation (maybe a minoxidil free of side-effects)...so the unexpected problem I had was that my body scent--unbeknownst to be at first was terrible. My girlfriend had to point it out and it took me a while to figure out the source, since I had been using other things. The exact same effect happened when I mega dosed on ACV capsules. Since that time I had heard of an interesting theory, that most of the potassium we have today is not ideal, a lot of it is derived from chemical fertilizers NPK. Ultimately, the fix to keep aldosterone in check is to maintain high levels of magnesium intake and this also props up levels of potassium.

They say all of the substances that raise HDL are toxic and the body raises it in response, for example HDL is raised with ethanol, ionizing radiation, excessive exercise, estrogen, fish oil. 13. It is better to eat refined grains as oppose to difficult to process whole grains, because that kind of grains pass through mall intestine and make it in large intestine where bacteria feed on them and generate a lot of endotoxin. This one is really interesting. 14. You need to keep phosphate levels as low as possible, and keep high calcium to phosphate ratio. Inorganic phosphate in itself is turning out to be very central for all metabolic processes. High phosphate inhibits parathyroid hormone. Meat, grains and beans are high in phosphate so you should avoid excess and drink lots of milk, cuz it contains low phosphate and high calcium content.
